Puppy Life:
Hector as a puppy was playful and of course elfish.
Growing up in such a great family though, made him acquire a very special
character. He is tremendously friendly, lovable and social due to the fact that
he really likes to be among people. Despite that he is independent and
will not always follows commands. His favorite game is running and going hikes
with his family.
Hector the Samoyed:
Hector is a Samoyed and comes from Siberia. He loves
snow and cold weather due to his breed. Hot weather is troubling him, so at
such days he prefers to stay in a cool conditioned room than outside in the
heat. Although if he is at the beach he likes swimming along with his family
members and after that he lays down in the shade.
Abilities:
He has a lot of energy in his spirit and as a
labor-dog he is almost never tired.
Hector has an ability that really few animals have. He
is a sled-dog. Obviously that automatically means that he is never next to you
at walks as he prefers to lead the way.
Taking Care:
Hector needs a lot of care every
day. His coat is important for him and has to be brushed regularly since it is
a natural repellent of dirt dust and pests and has to stay intact in all of his
life as it is his best defense against cold and hot weather. Rumors state that
Samoyed that did have a "haircut" lost their confidence and
fell into deep depression.
Food:
He is fed with Royal Canin Junior
Max. His parents actually avoid to give him home-made "treats".
